You may know Imelda Romualdez Marcos as the first lady of the late President Ferdinand  Edralin Marcos but even before that she was already known because of her family, her angelic beauty and her beautiful voice. She was a known personality that everyone admires because of that. When she became the first lady of the philippines, she was viewed by people as someone who is obsessed with beauty. Her dress and other accessories are very eyecatching and really match her beauty. She even has more than 2 thousand pairs of shoes and too many expensive jewelries which makes me wonder why did she need to have this and how did she obtained them. These things are very ironic because in the documentary she stated that beauty is natural and no efforts are needed, but look at her shoes, dress, jewelries and it also takes her 1-2 hrs in dressing up. If it is natural, she doesn't need these over exaggerated items.

During the documentary, you can observe that she has already internalized everything that happened during the martial. She keeps on reiterating that what they did (Marcos government)were right and they were just doing them to make the country beautiful but she didn't address all other things that they did during their regime, the political prisoners, widespread corruption, poverty and oppression. I can say that they were able to initiate many infrastructures that we are still using nowadays but the projects are covered with too many anomalies.

To be honest, the documentary pissed me because of those problems I stated earlier and the way people forgot what happened in the past. They even glorify them which is so irritating looking back at what happened during their times. I can understand if the kids nowadays are the one glorifying them because they didn't experience those hardships but what i saw in the documentary are not kids. They are the people who are already alive during those times, they were the people who experienced it!
