Marcos wife of the formerly known dictator Ferdinand Marcos have many
descriptions depending on the people you are talking to. Some say that she is
the lady with thousands of expensive shoes, some would say that she is evil and
some would say that she is crazy. But watching the video Imelda would give you
additional information on what she is like.
In
the introduction of the video it was shown how wealthy they were during the
reign of the Marcoses, they have sacks of jewels and many more trinkets that
are adorned with gold and gems. Some people might say that it was stolen from
the people and some would believe that they were gifts. But Imelda believed
that they were necessary for a ruling family to have such riches. I admire in
some aspects, with the fact that whenever a place is struck by a calamity she would
come personally to their aide a gesture that is not seen recently from the
first ladies. Observing her actions while watching the videos makes me realize
that all her life she believes that she is doing the right things, loving his
husband unconditionally and doing what she does in her everyday life. This is
maybe her own reality that can be considered by other people as craziness. But
for her she just do what she likes and what she does is right.
Imelda
for me is both a great and an ingrate, because she does what she knows is right
but she does not ask the people what is right for them.
